Foundations: the ground every AI assessor stands on.
How AI systems work and fail, the rules that govern them worldwide, and what a third-party assessment looks for. Online lessons, quizzes and live sessions with an authorized instructor.
Eight modules, one foundation
Foundations gives you the shared vocabulary of AI assessment, so that every later level, and every conversation with a regulator or a client, starts from the same ground.
- AI systems and how they fail. Data, models, deployment and agents, and the failure modes an assessor looks for.
- The global rulebook. The EU AI Act, United States federal and state laws, Asia-Pacific and the other major regions, with the deadlines that apply.
- Frameworks and standards. The NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO/IEC 42001 and ISO/IEC 23894, and how they fit together.
- Risk classification and obligations. Prohibited practices, high-risk systems, transparency duties and general-purpose AI models.
- Trustworthy AI in practice. Fairness, transparency, robustness, privacy and human oversight, and how each is evidenced.
- Documentation and evidence. Technical files, logs, impact assessments and the records regulators ask for.
- What a third-party assessment is. Scope, criteria, evidence, findings, and why the assessor must hold no stake in the result.
- Professional conduct. Impartiality, confidentiality and objectivity, from the first day.
