The work of an assessor, step by step
Practitioner turns the foundations into method. Every module pairs a lesson with an exercise on the training environment.
- Scoping and inventory. Defining what is assessed, against which criteria, and finding the AI systems no one listed.
- Evidence requests and sampling. What to ask for, how much is enough, and how to tell evidence from assertion.
- Control testing. Running human oversight, logging, access and change controls rather than reading about them.
- Bias and fairness testing. Measuring outcomes across the populations a system actually affects.
- Robustness and security. Distribution shift, adversarial inputs and, for agents, prompt injection and tool misuse.
- Documentation review. Checking technical files and impact assessments for existence, currency and truth.
- Writing findings. Clear, evidenced findings that an organization can act on and a regulator can rely on.
- Impartiality. Conflict checks and declarations before any work starts.

The training environment holds demonstration data only. Every output is marked TRAINING, NOT VALID, and nothing produced there can be checked on any public verify page.
One assessment, end to end
Level 2 closes with one graded practice assessment on the training environment: you scope a demonstration system, gather evidence, test controls and write findings. An authorized instructor grades it against a published rubric, and you can appeal a grade.
Who can enroll
Level 2 is open to Level 1 graduates. If you have equivalent experience, you can ask for a review instead: AxiLayer AI reviews each request and confirms entry before you pay.

Pass the graded practice assessment to receive an AxiLayer AI practitioner completion record, naming the partner who delivered your cohort.
